About the name of the site
Some of you may be wondering why the site is named www.llanelly.com, Llanelly is a small town in South Wales, UK. The town is presently called Llanelli but before the 1970's the town was named llanelly. You can find some information about the town here and some pictures of the town here. And If you haven’t guessed by now I also live in the town.

Why I created the site

Originally I purchased the domain name just for the e-mail address, but when my hosting company 1 and 1 offered me their instant web site package at an attractive price I couldn't resist the offer. While it doesn’t have any PHP or APS and only has a quota of 250Mb, it serves my purpose and gives me a presence on the Web, and allows me to share my ideas with the world.

About Me and Electronics

I am an electronics engineer by trade and have been involved with electronics since the age of 14, after I finished school I did a five year course in electronics servicing and then went on to work in the TV and Video servicing trade. During my time in this trade I have repaired nearly everything, from a vacuum cleaner to a camcorder. The thing I dreaded fixing the most was microwave ovens, I nearly sterilised myself with one of these things because it was leaking badly. TBC

Me and Computers

I have been involved with computers since the age of seventeen. My first computer was a Sinclair ZX81 that was given to me by a friend. I first got involved in programming when I had a BBC B Microcomputer I learned how to program in Basic and Assembly Language TBC
